Access Point Name (APN) is required by any smartphone in order to connect to a specific service provider’s network and to the internet via 4G and 3G networks. APN settings specific to the service provider, Vidéotron for this case, enables the smartphone to connect to the service provider’s gateway then to the internet through LTE or HSPDA network. The settings for iPhones and Android devices are listed below. Once you have them set appropriately, ensure that you have a data plan with Videotron then restart your smartphone.
Videotron Internet Settings for iPhone
Go to Settings – Mobile Data – Mobile Data Network then input the settings below.
- APN: media.videotron
- Username: (Leave blank)
- Password: (Leave blank)
Restart your iPhone or iPadOS device with cellular data and it should work without any other modification once you have a data plan. You can also access your SIM application.
Videotron APN Internet Settings for Android
For any Android device, either Smartphone or Tablets, go to settings -> more ->Mobile Network -> Access Point Name then add the settings below. This could be a little different depending on your version of Android and device manufacturers. You will generally find it under wireless networks. Restart your device once done.

Once you have these settings, select your preffered networks as GSM/HSDPA/LTE so your device can automatically connect to an available network. Restart your device and the appropriate network should be selected and connected to the internet assuming you have an active data plan.
