Once you have Telcel SIM card in your smartphone, you will need Access Point Name(APN) settings in order to connect to the internet. APN enables you to connect to the service provider’s gateway to the public internet. Ensure that you are within coverage with an active data plan in order to browse the internet.
Telcel APN Internet Settings for iPhone
For any iPhone or any iOS device, go to Settings > Mobile Data > Mobile Data Network then input the settings below.
- APN: internet.itelcel.com
- Username: webgprs
- Password: webgprs2002
To reset these settings, go to Settings > Mobile Data > Mobile Data Network > Reset Settings. You can also easily access your SIM applications on iOS 13 and iOS 14.
Telcel APN Internet Settings for Android Smartphones
For an Android smartphone, go to Settings > Mobile Data > Access Point Name > Add New then input the settings below. Different manufacturers and Android versions might have this location located elsewhere but you will generally find it under wireless networks section under settings. Once you have inputted the settings above, save then use it. It will appear as “Telcel Mexico” under profiles. Restart your smartphone so that these settings can take effect.
