Once you have Telcel SIM on your device, you will need Access Point Name (APN) internet settings in order to connect to the internet on a device with an active Telcel data plan. APN contains the gateway through the service provider to the public internet.
Ensure that you have an active data plan and within network coverage so you can be connected to the internet.
Telcel in the United States is an MVNO that uses T-Mobile network infrastructure to offer its wireless services.
Telcel APN Settings for iPhone
For iPhones with Telcel SIM in them, head over to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Network then input the settings below.
- APN: wap.tracfone
- Username: (Leave blank)
- Password: (Leave blank)
Use the same setting for APN, LTE, MMS and personal hotspot fields. Restart your iPhone.
Change your APN to wholesale if wap.tracfone does not work.
Telcel APN Settings for Android Devices
To set up APN on an Android device, Samsung, Oppo, OnePlus or any other device, head over to Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names or generally under Settings > Network & internet then input the settings below. You may also find these settings under Wireless & Internet.

Save the settings then select Telcel as the active Access Point Name. You may need to restart your Android device.
Telcel Automatic Network Configuration
Send an SMS with the word APN to 611611.
You can also reset your network configuration by navigating to Settings > General >Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings, enter pass code and restart your device. Restart your iPhone.
Reset network profile on Android by navigating to Settings > System > Reset Options > Reset Wi-Fi, mobile and Bluetooth >Reset settings then restart your ANdroid device. You can alternatively delete your APN profiles then restart your Android devices.
