Samsung Galaxy A line of their Android handsets is one of the most popular mid-range smartphones from Samsung. In fact, it is more popular than the S and Note line. Samsung last year sold more Galaxy A units than any other line of smartphones from other manufacturers worldwide reaffirming its crucial spot in Samsung’s smartphone business. Galaxy A51 was the best selling Android smartphone in 2020 Q1. A 5G version was bound to happen
It looks like Samsung will revamp its strategy of releasing more Galaxy A smartphones with 5G as it sees adoption in 2020 as witnessed by the new Galaxy A51 5G shown by the resident smartphone leaker Ice Universe on Twitter. This announcement was made public by Samsung in April by Samsung newsroom alongside the Galaxy A71 5G but we hadn’t seen photos by users until today.
This smartphone is expected to come packing 5G as a selling feature. It will introduce many people to the fast wireless 5G experience and drive its adoption in the mid-range market. Many people don’t actually buy high-end smartphones and for those who do, getting a stable 5G network coverage is quite a hustle. This will drive coverage as service providers will increase investment that will see coverage increase.
The Galaxy A51 5G as seen in the pictures has a punch-hole style 32MP front-facing camera and a quad-camera setup at the back that both look like the Samsung Galaxy S20. It is a 48 MP main camera with a 12MP ultra-wide camera, 5MP Macro camera, and a 5MP depth camera. It was shown donning pink color but there are more color options for the rest of us who do not fancy this color. These other colors are Prism Cube Black, Prism Cube White, Prism Cube Pink (Shown in the picture).
Other features of the Galaxy A51 5G includes a 6.5 inch Super AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution of 1080 × 2400. 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage with Micro SD expansion capability to 1TB. As for the battery, that is a 4500mAh with 15W Adaptive Fast Charging. To top it all, it has an under-screen fingerprint scanner for you to quickly log in to your device.
