If you’ve been following smartphone news over the past few days, you’ve likely seen the news of a Motorola Razr looking Samsung device floating around the web. This is the follow-up to Galaxy Fold that finally got released after months of delays and breakdowns that necessitated recalls just a few weeks after units were sent out to reviewers. A Chinese social media user made public some images and they were picked up by Ice Univer, a smartphone leaker with a good track record, and posted on Twitter. The leak shows a smartphone with Samsung design language but that folds in half from top to bottom, unlike the Galaxy Fold that folds from side to side. This device appears to have dual screens, one that folds at the regular location and the other just below the back camera, come front when folded. It also has an S10 sized punch hole for from camera with dual back camera setup with a flash next to it just like the iPhone 7 Plus Here’s the tweet with other images from Ice Universe

Clamshell smartphones seem to be making a debut after over 10 years of near-complete disappearance with a new form factor; ‘Foldables’. Personally, I would prefer tablets that fold in half to reveal a smartphone as I would love more screen to view content on, mainly viewing web pages, photos, social media some bit of productivity.
2020 is gearing up to be the year of ‘Foldables’ as 2019 was marred with delays running into months for Samang Galaxy Fold and Huawei mate X that currently has limited availability.
