The wildly popular Pocophone F1 has a successor, the POCO F2 Pro. Pocophone F1 was brought to everyone’s attention for its top of the line specifications coupled with a mid-ranger price-tag. POCO F2 Pro follows suit with top of the line specifications and goes for €499 for the 6GB/128GB and €599 for the 8GB/256GB variant.
We all thought this was going to be called Pocophone F2 but Xiami chose to go with POCO F2 Pro to spice things up. Everyone is adding “Pro” to their smartphones nowadays to get the attention of users with the hope of selling more units. Apple introduced this strategy to its high-end smartphones, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Pocketnow notes that Xiaomi added a Super Bluetooth chip + Bluetooth 5.1 that is supposed to expand the range to 400 meters with low latency and no disconnection. It is quite notable seeing such features in a phone with such great pricing.
This smartphone is basically Redmi K30 Pro with a POCO launcher in place of the one that comes with Redmi K30 Pro, Mi UI.
Most of the features are definitely in line with those in my 2020 Smartphone Features prediction article. With reasonable pricing that POCO F2 Pro comes with, many users will definitely take advantage of these desirable features. This is a good move by Xiaomi and many other manufacturers will likely follow soon.
