OnePlus on 21st July 2020 made public the much anticipated OnePlus Nord, a cheaper capable alternative to the pricier OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro. OnePlus popularized its brand in 2014 as a cheaper alternative with flagship specifications but over the years they have increased in price. This can be attributed to the features they have added to their flagships over the years and the ever-increasing cost of chipsets. OnePlus attempts to trace these roots with the Nord line of relatively cheaper but feature-rich smartphones.
With a price tag of €399 and mid-range processor, Snapdragon 765G, OnePlus Nord is set to satisfy the majority of OnePlus fans who felt left out as prices went up over time. 5G, OnePlus 8 camera, a 90Hz screen refresh rate, 4115 mAh with 30W fast charge specification, OnePlus Nord is definitely a winner in the midrange category. Some flagships like the iPhone 11 Pro struggles to match it, at least in the specifications department.
