Well, if you are confused what strategy Samsung is using in it’s range of smart watches,
we all are and probably Sammy too. Day in day out, a rumor of Samsung making another watch is out.
In the recent past Samsung announced 4 different smart watches running different operating systems.
For the first time ,galaxy gear was launched together with the note 3 running heavily customized version of android. It performed very poorly managing only 80,000 units compared to the earlier reports of 850,000. The second time Samsung came with three smart watches,Gear 2, gear 2 neo and Gear fit. All these devices come running Tizen OS, an operating system from Samsung.
This time round a smart watch powered by Google’s new android wear OS for wearable as you
can guess from it’s name.This device is expected to compete with other devices from other android OEMs like LG and Motorola who have already teased their devices(Smart watches).
Samsung’s strategy for smart watches is now not known since it has focus now on Android wear os. I think Samsung is just planning to sing the same song by spamming the market with smart watches like it did with it’s range of galaxy devices.
Also an update concerning Tizen, Samsung is planning to make Tizen powered phones available to the people for purchase before June or rather by the end of June this year.
