Access Point Name (APN) is unique to every smartphone internet service provider. APNs are the necessary settings on the subscriber’s device for the service provider’s gateway to the internet. For this reason, they are crucial to connecting smartphone users to the internet through their cellular data. Freedom Mobile, just like any other cellular data provider, needs these unique settings so you can connect to their 4G/LTE or 3G/HSPDA network.
Freedom Mobile Canada APN Settings for iPhone
To set up APN Settings for Freedom Mobile on your iPhone, go to Settings > Mobile Data > Mobile Data Network then in put the the settings below.
- APN: internet.freedommobile.ca
- Username: (Leave blank)
- Password: (Leave blank)
To reset your APN settings, go to Settings > Mobile Data >Mobile Data Network > Reset Settings then enter theAPN settings once more in order to connect to the internet using cellular data. You can also easily access your SIM Applications.
Freedom Mobile Canada APN Internet Settings for Android Devices
To set up Freedom Mobile APN internet settings on Android smartphones, tablets, and other devices, go to Settings > Mobile Data > Access Point Name and add the new APN. Different versions of Android and manufacturers have the setting in different locations but you will generally find it under wireless networks.

Select the newly added Access Point Name and use it. You may need to restart your device for the settings to take effect. If you have stability issues with your network, select the preferred connection to GSM/HSDPA/LTE so your device can automatically select the best network available in your region.
