Updates to any software is normally something good because they either increase functionality, improve stability or fix bugs that you may or may not be aware of. I have never been against any update on Android applications especially that lately they come with a lollipop material design (2015). They look good.
When Twitter recently updated their Twitter for android, they came up with links. I have realized that these links don’t work well for everyone out there and that is the sole purpose of this article. Downgrading to a version without links. You will have to download the apk (Older version of Twitter for Android ), also linked down below, but before you even do that, you need to uninstall the present Twitter for android and set your android device to allow your device to install applications from sources outside Google’s Play Store. Follow the steps below:
- Uninstall the present twitter application.
- Go to Settings – General – Security then tick on unknown sources. You can also just download the apk and you will be prompted to accept installing applications from outside sources. Don’t mind, this is not malware.
- Download the application here and install it on your device.
Share it with your friends.
