Once you have BT Mobile SIM card installed on our device, you will need a network-specific Access Point Name (APN) so you can connect to the internet. It provides the gateway for the user to connect to the public internet. Once you have turned on your mobile data and with a data plan and within network coverage, follow the steps below to connect o the internet successfully.
BT Mobile Internet Settings for Android
The settings below apply both for Android smartphones and Tablets. Go to Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names add a new Access Point Name then input the settings below.
- Name: BT Mobile
- APN: btmobile.bt.com
- Username: bt
- Password: bt
- Proxy: (leave it blank – not set )
- Port: (Leave it blank – not set)
- Server: (leave it blank )
- MMSC: ( Leave it blank )
- MMS Proxy: (leave blank)
- MMS Port: (Not Set)
- MCC:
- MNC:
- Authentication type:
- APN type: default,supl
- APN protocol: IPv4/IPv6
- Bearer: Unspecified
- MVNO Type: SPN
- Mobile virtual network operator: (none )
Save the settings the select BT Mobile as the active APN for you to use. restart your device and the settings should take effect automatically.
BT Mobile Internet Settings for iOS devices
For an iPhone, go to Settings > Mobile Data > Mobile Data Network then input the settings below.
- APN: btmobile.bt.com
- Username: bt
- Password: bt
tab back then restart your device if the settings do not apply automatically.
