Assurance Wireless is a free government cellphone plan for qualified individuals alongside Safelink Wireless, QLink Wireless, Access Wireless among other providers. It offers services to people from underprivileged communities and set criteria that have to be met for the services to be offered.
Once you have an Assurance Wireless SIM card, and Assurance Wireless data plan, you will need to set up APN settings in order to access the internet. The settings for Android and iPhones are listed below.
Assurance Wireless APN Settings for iPhone
For iPhones, navigate to Settings > Cellular Data > Cellular Data Network then input the settings below under the APN section.

Assurance Wireless APN Settings for Android Devices
For your Samsung, Pixel, Oppo, OnePlus, or any other Android device, navigate to Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names for Samsung Galaxy devices and Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs > Select SIM > Access Point Names for other Android devices then tap on the + icon to add new APN settings. Add the settings below.

- APN: vzwinternet
- Username: (Not set – Leave it blank)
- Password: (Not set – Leave it blank)
- Proxy: (leave it blank – not set )
- Port: 80
- Server: (leave it blank )
- MMSC: http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms
- MMS Proxy: 80
- MMS Port: (Not Set)
- MCC: 470
- MNC: 02
- Authentication type: (none)
- APN type: default,supl,fota,mms,hipri
- APN protocol: IPv4/IPv6
- APN roaming protocol: IPv4/IPv6
- APN enable/disable: enabled
- Bearer: (Unspecified)
- Mobile virtual network operator: (none )
Save the settings then select Assurance as the active APN. You may also want to set up Assurance Wireless MMS. Restart your device for the settings to take effect.
You may also need to clear the cache on your Chrome or Firefox browser for the settings to take effect. An outdated cache can considerably slow down your browsing experience.
Assurance Wireless Fast 5G APN Settings
5G is the latest and fastest cellular data connectivity technology in the world. It also has lower latency when compared to 4G.
Assurance Wireless 5G APN settings are the same as 4G APN settings. Here are the Assurance Wireless Fast 5G APN Settings:
- Name: Assurance Wireless
- APN: internet
- Port: 80
- MMS Proxy: 80
- MCC: 470
- MNC: 02
- APN type: default,supl,fota,mms,hipri
- APN protocol: IPv4/IPv6
- APN roaming protocol: IPv4/IPv6
Leave all other fields blank as they are required by Assurance wireless.
Save then select Assurance Wireless as the active APN. You may need to restart your android device for the fast APN settings to take effect.
If you are not connected despite restarting, set up automatic network selection.
